Bought the KAYVA GU10 for my living room. The light is quite nice, not too harsh and colour looks very natural. Previous bulb was quite yellowish, this one much better. Happy with the purchase.

Description
A strip is only as reliable as the driver behind it. The KAYVA 24V driver is a constant-voltage supply built for COB and SMD strip in coves, shelves and cabinets, registered under Singapore's SAFETY Mark scheme and tested to IEC 61347-2-13 by TÜV Rheinland.
It comes in two ratings. The 80W unit runs up to 5 metres of 480 Pro strip; the 160W runs up to 10 metres. Both figures assume the strip draws no more than 80% of the driver's rating, which is the margin that keeps the driver cool and gives it a long service life. Each end has screw terminals under a hinged clear cover: Earth, Live and Neutral on the mains side, and two pairs of V+ and V− on the output side so two runs can share one driver.
It is non-dimmable. If you want to dim, add a 24V PWM dimmer between the driver and the strip. It is IP20, so it belongs indoors, in a dry spot with air around it, such as the cove itself or a ceiling void. At 26 mm high it fits inside a standard cove or above a false ceiling without modification.

Frequently asked questions
Which driver do I need?
Add up your strip wattage, then pick the driver where that total is 80% of the rating or less. KAYVA 480 Pro draws 12W per metre: up to 5 m takes the 80W, up to 10 m takes the 160W. For other strips, multiply W/m by metres and apply the same 80% rule.
Can I run more than 10 m from one driver?
No. Over 10 m, use a second driver. Running a driver above its rating overheats it and shortens its life.
Can I dim my strip with this driver?
Not on its own. It is a non-dimmable constant-voltage driver. To dim, add a 24V PWM dimmer between the driver output and the strip. The driver stays as it is; the dimmer does the dimming.
Is this a plug-in adapter?
No. It is wired into the mains with screw terminals (Earth, Live, Neutral). There is no plug. Mains connection must be done by a licensed electrical worker.
Can I use it outdoors or in a bathroom?
No. It is IP20, for dry indoor locations only. Mount it where air can move around it, such as inside the cove or above the false ceiling.
Can two strips run from one driver?
Yes. The output side has two V+ and two V− terminals. Two runs can share one driver as long as their combined wattage stays within the 80% rule.
Does it work with 12V strip?
No. This is a 24V driver. Connecting 12V strip will damage the strip. Check the printed voltage on your strip before ordering.
Is it SAFETY Mark registered?
Yes. 80W is registered under 260198-15 and 160W under 260199-15, both printed on the unit. Tested to IEC 61347-2-13 by TÜV Rheinland. You can check the numbers on the Consumer Product Safety Office register.
What is the warranty? 3 years. Keep your order number.
What customers say
Got the 2700K GU10 for bedroom. Was worried it would be too yellow but actually just nice, very cosy at night. Dimming also works quite smoothly with my setup.
My ID recommended KAYVA because of the high CRI. At first I thought lighting all same, but after installation can really see the difference. Wood colour and furniture look more natural.
Very nice solid colour of 2700K compared to my previous strip, which is also 2700K. KAYVA strip gives me a more relaxing and warm feel. The price point is slightly on the higher end but worth it overall.
photo review, no comment
Really glad to stumble upon these lights when looking for ceiling lights for my kitchen. Did some testing but have not fix yet but impression is good. Just amazed that seller published the spectrometer of this E27 bulb! even the giant brands don't do that. It is important to me as I have been following the research of a UCL scientist on health concerns of white LED. The 2700K bulb is great with minor little output on those wavelengths of concern. Also, it is dimmable and not too expensive compared to other bulbs and hence deserved this rating.
Printed on the reel or the spec sheet. If a listing quotes only total watts for a 5 m reel, divide by 5.

Safety
Registered, not just claimed.
Every KAYVA driver carries its own SAFETY Mark registration number, issued after testing to IEC 61347-2-13 by TÜV Rheinland. The number on the label is the number on the certificate.

Sizing
Pick by metres, not maths.
480 Pro strip draws 12W per metre. Up to 5 m, take the 80W. Up to 10 m, take the 160W. Both leave the driver at 80% load or less, which is where it runs cool and lasts.

Installation
Screw in. Close the cover. Done.
Mains in one end, 24V out the other, all on screw terminals under hinged clear covers. Two output pairs let one driver feed two strips. No soldering, no connectors to buy.
