What dimmer works best with it?
A trailing-edge (ELV) dimmer. Leading-edge (TRIAC) dimmers can cause visible flicker on LED — it is the most common post-renovation complaint, and it is avoidable. If your dimmer is already installed and you are unsure which type it is, ask your electrician before buying.
How bright is it, and what wattage?
5.5W, rated around 490 lumens — comparable to a 50W halogen, at a fraction of the power. It is Ra95+, so it will look richer than a higher-lumen Ra80 bulb even where the number is similar.
Will it fit my existing GU10 fittings?
Yes. It is a standard GU10 base and body, a direct replacement for any GU10 halogen or LED downlight or track head. Mains voltage, no transformer needed.
2700K or 4000K — which should I choose?
2700K is warm and relaxed, best for living rooms and bedrooms. 4000K is a neutral white, better for kitchens, studies and workspaces. Both are the same Ra95+ quality; it is only the colour temperature that changes.
Does it run hot?
It is designed to stay at or below 65°C surface temperature after two hours — within safe limits for enclosed and downlight fittings. Heat is the main thing that shortens LED life, so this matters for how long it lasts.
